Hussam Abu Aisha (born in Jerusalem in 1959) is a Palestinian actor and comedian.
His upbringing and education
Hussam Abu Aisha was born in 1959 in Jerusalem, and studied business administration in Beirut.
His career
He joined the Palestinian National Theater in 1976, and was one of the founders of the “People’s Theater” as well as the “Al-Sanabel Theater” in Jerusalem. He spent 3 years in the Israeli occupation prisons, during which he performed three theatrical works: The First of May, “Spartacus” and “Returning to Haifa”. In 1991, the artist Hussam Abu Aisha was elected president of the Palestinian Artists Syndicate for a period of 3 years. He worked as an editor for the art page in the Jerusalemite “Al-Awda” magazine. He participated in many films, television and radio series, and also presented solo comedy shows.

Achievements and Awards
Best Actor Award at the Haifa Children's Theater Festival for the play "The Dwarf and the Miller's Girl" in 1996.
Best directing and costume for the play “The Immigrant” at the Carthage Festival in Tunisia in 1999.
The Golden Tanit for the play “Stories Under Occupation” from the Carthage Festival in Tunisia, and the second prize at the Arab level for the play “The Golden Fish” in 2005.
Honored by the Palestinian Ministry of Culture at the Jerusalem Film Festival 2018.
