Siham Hasan Saeed Ali Mansour Al-Karmi (May 1, 1931) is a Palestinian broadcaster, media personality, writer and scientist from the city of Tulkarm. She is one of the most prominent broadcasters of BBC Radio, which broadcasts to the world from London. She presented many scientific programs on the radio during the eighties. The most famous of them is her program “The Genius of Arab Civilization”, which is one of the most prominent cultural and scientific programs of the BBC, in addition to her scientific program “For every disease there is a cure”, and she is the eldest daughter of the linguist Hassan Al-Karmi, and the sister of the writer Ghada Al-Karmi.

Siham Hassan Saeed Ali Mansour Al-Karmi, who is from the Palestinian city of Tulkarem, was born on May 1, 1931 in the city of Ramleh, when her father, Hassan Al-Karmi, was working at that time as a teacher there in schools.

Siham Al-Karmi received her primary, preparatory, and secondary education in the schools of Palestine, and obtained the Palestinian general secondary certificate, which was known at the time as “Metriculation.” In 1948, she moved with her family to the British capital, London, and enrolled there at the University of London, from which she obtained a bachelor's degree in chemistry.

Siham Al-Karmi was greatly influenced and admired by the school educational system in Palestine, as she says: “The educational system in Palestine, in my opinion and according to my actual experience, was the best educational system in the Arab world. This system produced the finest primary and secondary schools, such as Al-Rashidiyah and the Arab College for Boys, Al-Ma’mouniyya and the Teachers’ House for Girls in Jerusalem, and Al-Fadhiliya and Al-Adawiya in Tulkarm.

Al-Karmi is a member of several associations and unions. She was also a representative of the Palestinian Coalition for the Right of Return in London.
