Osama Fawzi is an American-Jordanian journalist of Palestinian origin, and the founder of the Arab Times magazine, which is published in the United States of America. He was born in 1949 in Jordan, grew up and lived there until 1975, when he moved to work in the United Arab Emirates, and then immigrated to America. He began writing in high school, and his style was initially characterized by ordinary criticism, and he developed into the stage of satirical literary and political criticism.

Foundation
Osama Fawzi was born in one of the areas belonging to the Jordanian army in the city of Zarqa, to a family whose roots go back to the town of Tarshiha in Palestine. He studied in the Jordanian military culture schools and was the first in all the military culture schools in the Kingdom in the general secondary exams. He continued his studies in the Arabic language department at the University of Jordan. He graduated from it in 1973 and obtained a master's degree in journalism. After that, he worked as a teacher in the schools of the Kingdom, then he obtained a work contract in the Emirates and moved to it in 1975 and remained there until 1984, when he was forced to leave abroad and settle in his travels in the United States, where he resided in the city of Houston, located in the state of Texas, in the winter of 1984. Osama began in his stages The first was to write for Jordanian and Iraqi magazines and newspapers such as Al-Turath Al-Shaabi magazine, Afaq and other Iraqi newspapers, in which he continued to write until the time of his travel to the United States of America. The late 1980s and early 1990s with a group of articles that were published as cover topics, which was the reason for the fame of the Surakia magazine. He continued to publish in Surakia until 1986, when he established the Arab Times magazine.

He moved to the Arab Emirates to reside in the city of Al-Ain. He worked in teaching and journalism, and was appointed head of the media department in the Curriculum Department. He criticized the educational curricula used in the Emirates, where he dealt with the shortcomings of Emirati education in more than thirty articles that he published in some local and Gulf newspapers, and also mentioned the subject in an interview. Because of his criticism, he was subjected to a transfer from the head of the media department in the Educational Curriculum Department to a teacher in an elementary school, and when he decided to resign, a decision came to appoint him as a media advisor at the Emirates University, and the decision came by the university director at the time, Muhammad Nuri, but the appointment decision was not made. And Fawzi remained without an official job for a year, as he was getting money for his writings in some Arab newspapers, especially the Iraqi ones, then he was given 48 hours to leave the Emirates, which forced him to immigrate to the United States of America. Osama published his experience in the Emirates in a book entitled (Ten Years of Journalism in the Al Nahyan Species).

Osama Fawzi mentioned that he was subjected to many pressures that amounted to an attempted physical assassination, and among these pressures, everything he had collected for five years of his work in the United Arab Emirates was stolen and accused by the Emirati intelligence, as well as he was beaten in the office of one of his friends by a person who had asked a friend Doctor to bring him together. He was defamed by a Jordanian newspaper, where he was accused of being a spy of Jewish origin. In his place of residence in the city of Houston, he was subjected to an assassination attempt in 1998 at eight o'clock in the evening, but the one who was injured was his son Nidal, who was driving the car instead of him.
