the biography
A Palestinian filmmaker, born in 1975 and raised in the Palestinian village of Iksal near Nazareth. He graduated from Tel Aviv University with a double degree in English Literature and Film Studies in 1998, and received a scholarship to pursue his Master’s degree the following year. In February 2005, Sameh received his MFA in Directing from Columbia University’s Graduate School of the Arts. His short film “B Quiet” was ranked third in the Cinema Foundation’s selection at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival, and Filmmaker Magazine selected Sameh as one of the twenty-five best new faces in independent cinema. “Without a Mobile” is Sameh’s first feature film.
