the biography
A Palestinian editor born in Jaffa in 1915, he is the first Palestinian filmmaker. In 1935, he shot a 20-minute film about King Abdulaziz Al Saud's visit to Palestine and his travels between Lod and Jaffa.
He also made a feature film entitled (Dreams Come True) in collaboration with Jamal Al Asfar and a documentary film about the member of the Arab Higher Committee, Ahmed Hilmi Abdel Baqi.
After this beginning, Ibrahim Sarhan founded the Palestine Studio, and produced a feature film entitled (A Storm in a House) and produced some short advertising films until he moved to Jordan in 1948, where he participated in the first Jordanian feature film directed by Wassef Sheikh Yassin entitled (Struggle in Jerash). He died in 1987 in Shatila camp near the Lebanese capital Beirut.
