Mahdi Flifel: A Danish filmmaker of Palestinian origin from the village of Safouria in the Nazareth District. He graduated from the National Film and Television School in the UK, studying under mentors such as Stephen Frears and Pawel Pawlikowski.
In 2010, he co-founded Nakba FilmWorks with his partner Patrick Campbell, an Irish producer. He has directed numerous films, including documentaries and short films, and has received several awards, including the Berlinale Award in Germany, the Jury Award – DOC in New York, the Best Short Film Award in Amsterdam, and the Silver Bear Award.
