Abdel Salam Akl is a Palestinian broadcaster from Lebanon who has worked in journalism since 1990, after graduating from the Faculty of Media in Beirut and obtaining a Master’s degree from Saint Joseph University.
His most recent assignment was in Tehran, where he served for four years as a correspondent, bureau chief for Abu Dhabi TV, and producer of reports for several Arab satellite channels. He specialized in Palestinian, Lebanese, and Iranian affairs.
He has published literary, poetic, political, and human rights writings. He founded and served as President of the Palestinian Organization for Human Rights “Huquq” for three years. He also represented Palestine at the World Karate Championship held in Tokyo.
He currently works as a program presenter on RT (Russia Today).
