Juliet Awad (July 7, 1951 -), a Jordanian actress and director of Armenian descent, is considered one of the pioneers of acting in Jordan.

her life
She was born in the capital, Amman, to a family of Armenian descent who immigrated from Armenia to Palestine and then settled in Jordan. She studied at the nearby Armenian Evangelical School, then at the Armenian School, and obtained a BA and MA in directing and acting from Armenia in 1972, then obtained a higher diploma in Children’s Theatre, in During the eighties of the twentieth century, she taught theatrical activities for children in private schools in the capital, Amman. The summary of her experience issued a book entitled: “Drama in Education and Skills Development.” She founded the Aram theater project directed at children in 2011, and worked as a teacher at the University of Jordan, the theater department, for sound and recitation materials.

She married Jordanian actor Jamil Awad in 1982, when they formed a strong duo and had no children.

Her career
Her first role was in the Bab Al-Amoud series in 1969. She then worked as a child theater director in the Department of Culture and Arts during the period from 1972 to 1978. She prepared two academic programs, drama in education, and drama in skill development, which are applied in some schools in Amman.

Her candidacy for the parliamentary elections
In August 2020, she announced her candidacy for the parliamentary elections for the third district in Amman, representing the National Movement Party
