Information

The young Palestinian man, Muhammad Fazza Al-Jaabari, a student at Al-Quds Open University in the city of Hebron, succeeded in designing a device to protect cars from theft.

In a statement on its website, the university announced that the student Al-Jabari designed the device under the name “Anti-theft Security System For Cars based on a fingerprint sensor,” as part of the requirements for a bachelor’s degree in information and communications technology. At the College of Technology and Applied Sciences.

The idea of the project is to create a system that protects cars from theft in a fast, safe and reliable way, in addition to being cheap and that anyone can own at a time when car theft has become more organized than before.

Al-Jabari used the fingerprint sensor to control the operation of the car by comparing the fingerprint with the fingerprints stored in the system. If the fingerprints do not match or if no fingerprint is entered within half a minute, the car doors will lock and the audio alarm will turn on automatically. In addition, the power supply to the system is cut off. The car is completely turned off to ensure that the car's engine does not start at all, then a text message is sent to the car owner's phone to alert him that someone has tried to start the car, and it is possible to identify more than one driver of the car by storing their fingerprints with ease.

The device provides an integrated solution for car owners, insurance companies, and companies that have many cars to eliminate the phenomenon of car theft.
