He studied at the Arab College and received a scholarship to study at the University of Oxford from 1943 to 1944, graduating in 1947. He then continued his studies at Princeton University and earned both his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard University, where he later worked as a lecturer and research fellow.
In 1960, the United States sent him on a research mission to the Arabian Peninsula to study oil refining, during which he discovered oil wells in Yemen, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. He also conducted extensive field research on refining raw petroleum materials over a span of 15 years.
Dr. Aziz Odeh passed away in the United States, and in 2001, Princeton University honored his legacy by naming its Department of Sciences after him.
