Mohammed Ramadan Al-Agha was born in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip, on October 17, 1959. He is married and has three children. He completed his primary education at Khan Yunis Elementary School and Abdul Qader Preparatory School, and his secondary education at Khan Yunis High School, from which he obtained his high school diploma in 1978. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Cairo University in Egypt in 1982, a Master of Science degree from the University of Jordan in Jordan in 1986, and a PhD in Philosophy of Science from the University of Manchester in Britain in 1995.
Al-Agha worked at the Islamic University in Gaza; he was a teaching assistant between (1986-1991), then an assistant professor between (1995-1999), then an associate professor between (1999-2004), then a full professor since 2005. He was a visiting professor at several universities, such as the University of Manchester in Britain in 1995, the University of Bremen in Germany in 1999, and the University of Virginia in the United States in 2000. He was appointed minister of several ministries between (2006-2012), namely agriculture, education, tourism and antiquities.
During his tenure as Minister of Agriculture, Al-Agha focused on promoting local production and reducing imports from the occupation, conducting internal circulation of local capital, in addition to implementing a number of activities, including the Million Olive Tree Planting Campaign. Al-Agha is a member of a number of associations, unions and forums, including: the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Physical and Geophysical Union of American Scientists, the Association of University Professors, the President of the Arab Scientific Research Forum in Germany, the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Strategic Studies for Crises and Opportunity Management, and a consultant to a number of institutions.
Al-Agha gave a number of lectures at research and cultural centers and universities, and participated in scientific conferences such as the Conference on Beach Pollution in Amsterdam in 1997, the Conference on Environmental Management and Strategic Planning in London in 1999, and the Conference on Pesticides and the Environment in Ukraine in 2001.
He has published several books, including: *Blood of Flowers... Literary Papers* (a collection of short stories, 2010) and *Al-Yusufi Planning* (2013). He was also the editor-in-chief of *Problems of Scientific Research in the Arab World* (2022). He received the King Hussein Award for Excellence in 1986 and the Distinguished Research Award from the University of Manchester in 1992.
Al-Agha believes that the Oslo Accords were a disaster that befell the Palestinian people after the Nakba of 1948. He believes that national relations still need to be developed and improved, and that the best option to support the Palestinian cause is national reconciliation. He believes that the Palestinian people have the full right to all types of resistance, and he calls for the participation of all national factions in the PLO so that there can be a real partnership. He believes that the Palestinian cause has a promising future, but it has become frozen due to the Palestinian division and global and international pressures. However, there are global and internal changes that have a positive impact on the Palestinian cause, such as the Ukrainian war, the Saudi-Iranian agreement, and the intifada in the West Bank. As for the Arab situation, it needs development, and the regimes must stand in solidarity with their central cause, which is the Palestinian cause.
He believes that the complete liberation of Palestine is the only solution, but there is no objection to a phased solution depending on the circumstances and the political situation. He emphasizes that the return of refugees to their homes from which they were displaced is a right guaranteed to them according to divine and international laws, and it is the only solution.
