Dr. Mona Nabil Damidi is a leading expert in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and tech entrepreneurship. She holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Manchester and Birmingham City University, an MSc in Advanced Software Engineering and Data Management from the University of Manchester, and a BSc in Computer Engineering from An-Najah National University.
Dr. Mona Nabil Damidi currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Digital Sciences at the Arab American University and Chair of the Intersect Innovation Hub, where she leads innovation and entrepreneurship efforts. She is also the co-founder and director of STEMpire, a technology consultancy and training program for the public and private sectors. She has played a pivotal role in national and international initiatives, including the development of the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy for Palestine, approved by the Palestinian Cabinet in 2023, and AI bootcamps focused on climate and digital transformation.
Dr. Mona Nabil Damidi has over 15 years of experience, having held various positions, including Assistant Professor at An-Najah National University, Senior Fellow at IEEE Palestine, and Contributor to global conferences such as the World Economic Forum, LEAP, and the International Entrepreneurship Congress. She has also worked with organizations such as UNESCO, ESCWA, and USAID on projects related to AI ethics, national AI strategies, and cloud computing.
Dr. Damidi has received numerous prestigious awards, including being named the Most Influential Woman in Palestine by the Ministry of Women's Affairs and the Most Influential Idea Award from the Stanford Idea to Market Program. She continues her pioneering work in the fields of AI, entrepreneurship, and women's empowerment in technology, making her a prominent figure both regionally and internationally.
