Information

Mohammad Diab Al-Mousa is an Emirati educator of Palestinian origin from the village of Kafr ‘Ana in the Jaffa District. He was among the first teachers to arrive in the UAE as part of the educational missions from Kuwait and witnessed the development of educational institutions through various stages. He is considered one of the founding figures of formal education in the UAE and a pioneer of its educational renaissance.

He dedicated his life to serving education, culture, and media in Palestine, Jordan, Kuwait, and the UAE. In 1945, he participated in establishing formal schools in Sharjah and later held roles as school director, educational supervisor, and administrative officer in Ministries of Education across several Arab countries from 1957 to 1981.

From 1998 to 2000, he served as Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Childhood in Sharjah, and in 2000 he was appointed Educational Advisor to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence and the Sharjah Education Council, and has received certificates of appreciation from His Highness the President of the UAE and His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah.
