Eyad Al-Suqi.. A Palestinian is among the 100 best teachers in the world
The (AKS education) organization in India chose Professor Iyad Ahmed Al-Souqi from Jenin, among the list of the 100 best teachers in the world, for his activity in the education digitization program organized by the Ministry of Education.
Professor Al-Sooqi graduated from Al-Quds Open University - Jenin Branch in 2005, majoring in computer information systems, and works as a teacher at the Jenin Basic Boys School. He represented Palestine last year at the Al-Fateh Technology Conference in Ankara.
Seventy-two countries around the world participated in the competition, which was held in the Indian capital, New Delhi. The best 100 teachers around the world were selected according to criteria set by the Foundation, most notably the teacher's achievement file.
Al-Suqi said in a statement issued by Al-Quds Open University today, Friday, that the achievement reflects the development of the education system in Palestine, noting that having skills in using computers and smart devices and the ability to communicate is necessary to participate in such competitions.
Al-Souqi was chosen as the ambassador of the German Cospaces edu, which focuses on producing interactive educational content that works on the integrated cube, which enhances creativity and excellence among students. The ambassador called the integrated cube a new international position centered on a distinguished activity for the teacher using means that enhance interactive education.
Al-Souqi previously won the third place in Palestine in 2017 by focusing on modern technologies, the gamification initiative in education, and focusing on an attractive educational environment that promotes self-learning and exploration.
Al-Souqi also won the MieeExpert Microsoft Teacher Award in the past, as he will participate later in the Microsoft conference in Sydney early next year, after reviewing the participants’ achievement file.
He also earned three Minecraft site badges and is a site supervisor who takes care of building archaeological sites according to original 3D blueprints.
