Professor Hani A. Faris is a distinguished scholar and educator with extensive experience in political science and Middle Eastern studies. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Political Science and a Faculty Associate in the Institute of Asian Research at the University of British Columbia, Professor Faris has made significant contributions to academia and policy analysis.
His academic journey includes teaching positions at prestigious institutions such as Kuwait University, the American University in Washington, and the Centre for Middle East Studies at Harvard University, McGill University, and Simon Fraser University.
Professor Faris is a prolific author, co-author, and editor of numerous books focusing on the modern history of Lebanon, Arab Nationalism, and the Arab-Israeli conflict.
