Dr. Abdulsalam Hamarsha is an Associate Professor at Al-Quds University. He was born in the town of Ya'bad in 1967. He completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown before pursuing higher education.

Hamarsha began his academic journey by enrolling in a Business Professions program, specializing in programming and systems analysis, until 1991. He then moved to the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, in 1992 to study the Russian language preparatory program for medical studies. After that, he joined the Ukrainian National University of Physical Education for a program in organic rehabilitation (physical) from 1992 to 1997. He obtained his Master's degree in Physical Education Rehabilitation in 1998. In 1998, Hamarsha enrolled in the doctoral program at the same university, completing his Ph.D. in the same field in 2001.
In 2002, Hamarsha joined the academic staff of Al-Quds University as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Physical Education. He teaches anatomy, physiology of physical effort, biomechanics, sports injuries, physical therapy, and rehabilitation.

Dr. Hamarsha's research interests include sports injuries, postural deformities, student activities, student violence in universities, and the physiology of physical effort. He has participated in numerous Palestinian, Arab, and international scientific conferences.

Hamarsha has held various administrative positions at Al-Quds University, including Head of the Sports Department, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, and membership in several main and sub-committees in the Faculty of Arts and the Dean of Student Affairs Office. He has also served on multiple committees outside the university, including volunteering for the Palestinian Scout and Girl Guide Association as a scout leader. Additionally, he served as the head of the Academic Scientific Committee for the Association of Graduates of Ukrainian Universities and Institutes (Friendship Association) and worked on disciplinary committees for the Palestinian Football Association.
