Omar Abu Al-Hamsa is an Associate Professor holding a Ph.D. in English Language Teaching Methods with a special focus on Second Language Acquisition from the University of San Francisco (1990). He joined the Department of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Arts in 1992. He teaches courses on writing training at all three levels, Introduction to Linguistics, Semantics, Morphology, Syntax, Special Topics in Language, Language Seminar, and others.
His research interests lie in effective teaching, the development of English language curricula and methodologies, and he has conducted numerous studies in this field.
