Information
I have a PhD in Economics of Innovation from the University of Lille 1 in France, and I have been a Professor of Economics and Head of the Economics Program (MA and MSc) at An-Najah National University from 2011-2015. I am an expert in economic knowledge and innovation in Palestine and the Arab region, writing policy papers and assisting academic and public institutions in building knowledge-based strategies and planning based on public innovation networks.
After five years of PhD, I have done some research in the field of innovation and economic knowledge. I have implemented a project funded by the Ministry of Economy in Palestine on the relationship between firms’ productivity and the employment of innovation systems in the Palestinian service sector.
I am continuing to search for new platforms related to economic and business economics. My experience in economic modeling and data analysis through programs such as SAS, STATA and E-views can be used at this level of research. During the last four years of experience as an economics professor and head of economics, I have participated in many workshops, seminars and conferences at the local and international levels. Most of these activities were to provide public policies to the Palestinian government and the public and private sectors to increase performance, strategic planning and capacity building.
