Information

Amjad Al-Qani is an Associate Professor in the Chemical Engineering Program at An-Najah National University, Nablus, Palestine. He is also the Director of the Academic and Professional Development Center. Al-Qani received his PhD in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering with a specialization in Energy and Environment from the University of Calgary, Canada in 2018. He also holds a Master’s degree in Urban Environmental Engineering from École Centrale de Nantes, France (2012), and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from An-Najah National University (2009).

Al-Qani’s research focuses on the application of nanotechnology to advance energy and environmental science, with additional interest in wastewater treatment and solid waste management. His academic career has been marked by a number of national and international awards and grants. Between 2015 and 2018, he was awarded the prestigious Werner Graub International Fellowship in Engineering, one of only two in Canada to receive this fellowship, highlighting his exceptional achievements.

A highly productive researcher, Al-Qani has co-authored over 40 peer-reviewed scientific articles, research papers, and book chapters, making significant contributions to energy sustainability and environmental conservation. His work bridges the gap between academia and industry, addressing global challenges through innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration. Al-Qani mentors students, promotes high-impact research, and periodically reviews scientific papers in prestigious journals, enhancing his standing in the academic community.
