Mahmoud Asaad is an academic with extensive experience in the fields of thermal energy, fluid engineering, and mechanical engineering. He earned his PhD in Thermal Energy and Fluids from the University of Manchester, UK, between 2009 and 2014, with his thesis focused on Improved Combustion and Fire Modeling and Simulation. Prior to that, he completed a Master's in Thermal Energy and Fluid Engineering at the same institution from 2008 to 2009, where his research was centered on Stereo Imaging of the Dynamic Ignition of Flames in Gas Turbines. Mahmoud also holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from An-Najah National University in Palestine, earned between 2002 and 2007, with a thesis on a Medical Waste Incinerator with Distilled Water Production System.
In terms of professional experience, Mahmoud has worked in both research and industry. He served as a Consulting Engineer in Fluid Engineering and Thermal Sciences at Conselve Engineering Consultancy in Italy from June 2016 to August 2017. Additionally, he worked as an Associate Researcher and a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Manchester from 2009 to 2016. Mahmoud also contributed to research as a Visiting Researcher at the French Electricity Company in France during October to December 2011. Earlier in his career, he was a Research and Teaching Assistant at An-Najah National University in Palestine from August 2007 to May 2008.
