Atif Hosni Hussein Youssef Al-Asouli is a distinguished academic in the field of social work, serving as a faculty member at Al-Quds Open University, Gaza Branch, within the Academic Affairs Department. He holds a Ph.D. in Social Work and holds the rank of Professor at the Faculty of Social and Family Development. With extensive experience in teaching and academic research, he has contributed significantly to the advancement of social sciences through his expertise and scholarly work.
He earned his Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the Higher Institute of Social Work in Egypt in 1992. Continuing his academic journey, he obtained a Higher Diploma in Sociology from the Institute of Arab Research and Studies in 1996, followed by a Master's degree in the same field from the same institute in 2000. He then pursued his doctoral studies, earning a Ph.D. in Social Work from Sudan University of Science and Technology in 2011, further solidifying his academic and research credentials.
His professional career began at Shaheen Mental Health Hospital, where he worked as a Social Researcher from August 1992 to August 1996. He then moved to the Red Crescent Hospital in Egypt, serving as a Social and Psychological Specialist from September 1996 to August 2000. In 2000, he joined Al-Quds Open University as a faculty member, where he continues his academic and teaching career, playing a vital role in training future professionals in social work.
With vast experience in social research and academic teaching, he strives to enhance scientific knowledge and develop students' skills in social work. Through his long-standing career in research and education, he exemplifies a blend of theoretical and practical expertise in the field, making significant contributions to both academia and the social work profession.
