Information
Karim Matar is an Associate Professor of English at the University of Colorado at Boulder. A descendant of survivors of the 1948 Palestinian Nakba, he works at the intersections of Palestine studies, the humanities, and higher education. He is currently working on two books: “The Ethics of Belonging: Palestine and the Future of Humanity” and “Reflections on Palestine: Exile, Prestige, and Responsibility.” Karim is also active in organizing events at the local, state, and national levels to promote public awareness about Palestine and to advocate for free expression and academic freedom. He received his PhD from the University of Oxford in 2013.
