Dr. Bara Asfour is an Assistant Professor and senior academic leader at the Arab American University, currently serving as the Acting President of the University and Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs across both the Jenin and Ramallah campuses. Dr. Bara’ Asfour was appointed at the university in 2015 and has played a significant role in developing administrative, academic, and research work, in addition to strengthening partnerships with Arab and international universities. His contributions have led to remarkable achievements on both national and international levels across various positions he has held over the years.
Dr. Bara’ Asfour holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from New York University, as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the same university, where he was actively involved in scientific research and academic teaching during and after his studies. He also earned a Ph.D. in Business from Indiana University of Pennsylvania , USA, through its joint program with the Arab American University of Palestine.
Dr. Bara’ Asfour has held several administrative positions, including serving as a Technology Consultant for various institutions and economic enterprises. Within the university, he has taken on multiple administrative and academic roles, including:
