Yara Al-Qabaj is an Assistant Professor with a strong academic and professional background in educational administration and the arts. She earned her Master’s degree in Educational Administration from An-Najah National University in Palestine between 2020 and 2023. Her thesis, The Degree of Academic Freedom and Its Relationship to Decision-Making among Art College Employees in Palestinian Universities in the West Bank from Their Own Perspectives, reflects her interest in academic freedom, institutional governance, and decision-making processes within higher education.
Before pursuing her graduate studies, Yara completed her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, specializing in drawing and photography, also at An-Najah National University (2016–2020). Her undergraduate thesis, Family Problems and Their Impact from the Children’s Point of View, highlighted her concern with social issues and their influence on children’s perspectives. She obtained her high school diploma from Al-Bireh Secondary School for Girls in Palestine in 2016.
Professionally, Yara has accumulated diverse teaching and administrative experiences. Since September 2021, she has been serving as a part-time Assistant Professor at An-Najah National University. She also worked as a substitute teacher at Hamidi Al-Barghouthi Mixed Secondary School in September 2021, and later at Sheikh Mohammed Al Shami Secondary School for Girls from January to March 2023. Earlier in her career, she gained valuable project management experience as a Project Assistant at the Ministry of Culture in Palestine from June to August 2019.
Through her academic achievements and professional roles, Yara has developed expertise in both educational administration and the fine arts, combining research, teaching, and community engagement in her career path.
