Dr. Moaz Saleh is a PhD graduate in Islamic Economics and Law with a distinguished academic background in teaching and research. He has served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Islamic Banking at An-Najah National University, where he taught a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as Financing Risks in Islamic Banks, Critical Theory in Islam, Shariah Standards in Islamic Finance, Public Finance in Islam, Financial Markets in Islam, and Studies in Islamic Economic Thought. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he supervised graduation projects, practical training in Islamic financial institutions, and provided academic support through proofreading peer-reviewed papers and research.
Dr. Saleh began his academic journey by earning a Bachelor’s degree in Jurisprudence and its Principles from the University of Jordan in 2010, followed by a Master’s degree in Islamic Economics and Banking from Yarmouk University in Jordan in 2014. His Master’s thesis examined The Paris Economic Agreement from the Perspective of Islamic Economics, graduating with an excellent academic average. He later pursued his doctoral studies at Sabahattin Zaim University in Istanbul, Turkey, where he obtained a PhD in Islamic Economics and Law in 2021. His dissertation, Islamic Stock Markets and Their Effects from the Perspective of the Financial Objectives of Islamic Sharia, reflected his deep engagement with Islamic financial systems and their modern applications.
In addition to his university teaching, Dr. Saleh gained practical experience in the financial sector, working briefly as a cashier at Beit Al-Maqdis Exchange Company in 2015. His professional skills include academic writing, research review, teaching, critical thinking, forensic audit, and excellent presentation and negotiation abilities. He is proficient in Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Dr. Saleh has actively participated in several specialized courses and workshops, including the Sharia Supervision and Audit Program for Islamic Financial Institutions at the Queen Rania Center, a workshop on False Jurisprudence in Financial Transactions and its Impact on Trading Contracts in Financial Markets organized by Al-Raqaba Company, and an Advanced Scientific Research Course hosted by the Deanship of Scientific Research at An-Najah National University. He also completed a Tajweed Certificate issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Endowments and recently attended a workshop on artificial intelligence organized by the Faculty of Sharia at An-Najah.
He has published several scholarly works, including studies on Adnan Ibrahim’s position on the Sunnah, the concept of credit arrest and its contemporary applications, the duration of heirs’ exploitation of financial copyrights from a Sharia and legal perspective, and a Shariah rating of Dubai DOF Government Sukuks due 2022–2030. In addition, he continues to prepare and submit multiple research papers currently under review.
Dr. Saleh is a native Arabic speaker and fluent in Turkish, with strong proficiency in academic and professional communication across both languages. His academic journey and contributions reflect a commitment to advancing Islamic economics and finance through both scholarship and practice.
