 Assistant Professor of International Relations at Birzeit University, member of the Board of Directors of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Research Center, and member of the Palestinian Central Council. He previously served as Head of the MA Program in International Studies at the Abu Lughod Institute of International Studies at Birzeit University, Palestine, and previously as Director of the Arab and Palestine Studies Program at the same university.

He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Abu Lughod Institute of International Studies at the university, and a lecturer in international studies and political science. He was previously a visiting researcher at the School of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at Cambridge University, UK. He also worked for nearly ten years at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research in Abu Dhabi, where he was a researcher and lecturer in scientific research methods, and editor-in-chief of the center's journal, Afaq al-Mustaqbal.
