Bashir Mousa Nafea is a Palestinian doctor, academic, and researcher, recognized as one of the most prominent Islamic thinkers to emerge in the Arab and Islamic world over the past two decades. He has made significant contributions to intellectual and political movements at the Palestinian, Arab, Islamic, and even global levels.
He holds a PhD in Modern History from the University of Reading, London, and a PhD in Biological Sciences, specializing in Microbiology, from King’s College London. He worked as a Senior Inspector for Public Health and Preventive Medicine at the Ministry of Health in Abu Dhabi, and as a lecturer at King’s College London. He has also served as Director of the Studies and Research Department at the Center for Islam and the World, Director of Studies and Research at the International Institute of Islamic Thought in the United States, and as a Professor of Islamic Studies at Birkbeck College, University of London.
Dr. Nafea has authored dozens of critical, analytical, and historical articles in Arab newspapers and journals. He has participated in organizing numerous international conferences and intellectual forums with leading thinkers and policymakers worldwide, and has been instrumental in initiating events and establishing reputable intellectual institutions.
