Information
Abdel Sattar Qassem was a Palestinian professor and political figure from the town of Deir al-Ghusoun in the Tulkarm district. He earned a Master’s degree in Political Science from Kansas State University, a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Missouri, and a PhD in Political Philosophy from the University of Missouri in 1977.
He was fluent in English, French, and Hebrew. Dr. Qassem served as a professor at An-Najah National University and the University of Jordan. He authored numerous books, including Traditional Political Philosophy, and conducted extensive research on a wide range of political topics such as Arab–American relations, Palestinian resistance, Islamic political thought, and globalization.
He also wrote many articles published in international, Arab, and Palestinian newspapers and journals. In recognition of his academic contributions, he was awarded the Abdul Hameed Shoman Award in the field of Political Science.
