Professor Dr. Muhammad Musa Shabat: Professor of Physics, working as a physics professor at the Islamic University in Gaza. He is considered the first Arab and Muslim scientist to join the jury of the Galileo International Prize for Optics, just two years after receiving the prize himself, thus becoming the first Arab scientist to receive the Galileo International Prize for Optics since its inception in 1994, for his distinguished contributions to the field of optics.
