Mu'azouz Jaber Jamil Alawneh holds a Ph.D. in Measurement and Evaluation from the University of Khartoum, Sudan, which he obtained in 2002. He also holds a Master’s degree in Curricula and Teaching Methods from An-Najah National University, earned in 1998, and a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Psychology from An-Najah National University, earned in 1994.
He has held several academic and administrative positions at Al-Quds Open University. His experience includes serving as a part-time supervisor, faculty member, academic assistant, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Center, and Nablus Branch Operations Manager. Since July 2025, he has served as Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs at Al-Quds Open University.
His academic and research interests include question banks, educational research assessment standards, standards development, thinking development programs, standardization of educational standards, Total Quality Management, and multiple intelligences.
Throughout his academic career, he has supervised and examined numerous Master’s and doctoral theses and has participated extensively in the review and evaluation of academic research and books. His scholarly activities cover educational assessment, psychology, special education, educational administration, and related fields. He has also published and co-authored research in academic journals and participated in academic and professional committees at Al-Quds Open University and other Palestinian institutions.
In addition to his academic responsibilities, Alawneh has served on academic, administrative, and professional committees, including the Academic Council for the Basic Education specialization, the advisory board of the Palestinian Journal of Open Education and E-Learning, and the Scientific Research Council. He has also contributed to professional training programs, conferences, workshops, and scientific committees in the fields of education, assessment, research, and emerging educational technologies.
