Gaza - Watan - Kamel Dalloul: The daily details in Gaza are documented by the lenses of its photographers, who have recently created artistic paintings that express what is going on in that spot in which about three million people live, a third of them suffer the bitterness of life without incurring change, and a third of them are trying to overcome, and a third The other one died of misery.

Abdel Rahman Zaqout, 35, a photographer, graduated from the Faculty of Mass Communication at Al-Aqsa University in 2008, and has worked as a photographer since he was studying at the time.

Abdul Rahman said: "The basic rule that I followed during my career is (photos then try, then photos then try, to become a photographer), so I was trying hard to create a personal identity through which those who follow see my photos know that they are mine without revealing the source ".

He added: "Visual nutrition plays a major role in crystallizing and refining my photography skills. Reading photos through international news agencies and social media has a major role in developing my skills, in addition to constantly following up on YouTube so that I can deal with the camera in a professional manner."

Zaqout explained that he initially struggled with not having a professional camera to meet his needs to develop his skills, and that was in his last semester at the university.

Zaqout indicated that he was suffering from theories of bullying from society, when he went out to take pictures of nature, at that time the culture of photography was not widely spread in Gaza, especially nature photography.

Zaqout pointed out that one of the biggest and most important supporters of him during his career is his mother and himself, and those who believe in the culture of photography from his close friends, indicating their support and encouragement to continue and persevere in issuing more works to be able to participate in various competitions.

Zaqout concluded that he aspires to establish a photographic academy in the Gaza Strip, which will be a photographic reference and give a diploma specialized in photography free of charge to students, hobbyists and talented people.

It is noteworthy that Abdul Rahman has received the International Red Cross Award in Photography for 2018, the Press House Award for 2019, and the Community Media Center Award for 2020. He has also participated in many local and international exhibitions, and is currently working as a freelance photographer for many local and international agencies and institutions.
