the biography
A Palestinian writer, director and actor, born in 1948 in the village of Taybeh (the Triangle). He completed his secondary education and then traveled to East Germany, where he studied theater directing at the Institute of Dramatic Arts, and obtained a master's degree in theater directing. After graduating, he worked as director of the Municipal Cultural Center in the city of Nazareth. He wrote and directed many plays and translated selections of Bertolt Brecht's works from German into Arabic and published them in Al-Ittihad and Al-Jadeed magazines. He directed the play My Name is Rachel Corrie (2008).
