Information
Hassan Abdullah is a Palestinian writer and media professional. He holds a Master’s degree in Regional Studies from Al-Quds University and a PhD in Media Studies.
He has received several awards, including the Best Research Work Award in 1996 from the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, and the Martyr Naji al-Ali Award for Best Palestinian Researcher and Media Professional in 2005, granted by the Palestinian Writers and Authors Union. In 2008, he was awarded the Medal of the Deans of the Prisoners’ Movement in recognition of his overall research and media efforts in support of the prisoners’ cause.
He serves as Director of the News Department and Editor-in-Chief at Wattan TV, and as Head of the Journalism Department at Modern College.
He previously worked as a correspondent and analyst for Al Jadeed TV from 1993 to 2006. He also serves as a media consultant for several Palestinian institutions, including the Center for Democracy and Workers’ Rights, the Palestinian Bar Association, and the Ramallah Center for Human Rights Studies, and continues to hold this advisory role to this day.
