Osama Fawzy is an American-Jordanian journalist of Palestinian origin, and the founder of the Arab Times magazine, published in the United States of America. He was born in 1949 in Jordan, grew up and lived there until 1975, when he moved to work in the United Arab Emirates, and then immigrated to America. He began writing in high school, and his style was initially characterized by ordinary criticism, and developed into the stage of literary and political satire.

Osama Fawzi was born in one of the areas affiliated with the Jordanian army in the city of Zarqa to a family whose roots go back to the town of Tarshiha in Palestine. He studied in the Jordanian military culture schools and was the first in all military culture schools in the Kingdom in the general secondary exams, and continued his studies in the Arabic language department at the University of Jordan He graduated from it in 1973 and obtained a master's degree in journalism. After that, he worked as a teacher in the Kingdom’s schools, then obtained a work contract in the Emirates and moved there in 1975 and remained there until 1984, forcing him to leave abroad and settle in the United States, where he resided in Houston, Texas, in the winter of 1984. Osama began his stages The first in writing in Jordanian and Iraqi newspapers and magazines, such as the Popular Heritage magazine, Afaq and other Iraqi newspapers, in which he continued to write until the time of his travel to the United States of America. In the late eighties and early nineties, a group of articles were published as cover topics, which was the reason for the popularity of Surakia magazine and continued to be published in Surakia until 1986, when he established the Arab Times magazine.

He moved to the United Arab Emirates to live in the city of Al Ain, worked in teaching and journalism, and was appointed head of the media department in the Curriculum Department. He criticized the educational curricula followed in the Emirates, as he addressed the shortcomings of Emirati education with more than thirty articles that he published in some local and Gulf newspapers, and also mentioned the subject in an interview. Because of his criticism, he was subjected to a transfer from the head of the media department in the Educational Curriculum Department to a primary school teacher, and when he decided to resign, a decision came to appoint him as a media advisor at the UAE University and the decision was made by the university director at the time, Muhammad Nouri, but the appointment decision was not made. Fawzi was left without an official job for a year, as he was getting money for his writings in some Arab newspapers, especially the Iraqi ones. Then he was given 48 hours to leave the Emirates, which forced him to immigrate to the United States of America. Osama published his experience in the UAE in a book entitled (Ten Years of Journalism in Al Nahyan's Rackets).
