Tawfiq Sayyed was born in Safed in 1939. He studied Decoration at San Fernando Valley Academy in Madrid; graduated in 1975. 
Tawfiq has held his first solo exhibition in Jerusalem in 1958; participated in a group exhibit in Nablus in 1960. He has published his cartoonist paintings in the Jordanian newspaper "Al-Dustur" in 1967.
