Salwa Nakkara Haddad (Hebrew: סלווה נקארה) (born February 2, 1959) is a Palestinian-Israeli actress from Haifa who became famous in the local arena for her contribution to many theatrical performances at the Haifa Theater and other Israeli theaters, and in some Israeli films, as well as in a number of One of the programs on Israeli television, especially the comedy series Work of Arabs (by Sayed Kashua), where she represented the traditional mother of an Arab Israeli man trying to integrate into the Israeli Jewish society. Salwa Nakkara Haddad was born in Haifa (on Mount Carmel) on February 2, 1959, to a Christian family from the lower town of Haifa. Her uncle was lawyer Hanna Naqara, who joined the local Communist Party and was known for his activities to defend the rights of Arab citizens of Israel and to promote Arab-Jewish coexistence in the country. After his death, the Haifa municipality decided to name a street in the Wadi Nisnas neighborhood after him.

Nakkara Haddad described herself in her childhood as a "naughty student" who preferred theater to mathematics and science, yet her parents supported her.

In 1980, Nakkara Haddad graduated from the Beit Zvi School of Dramatic Art in Ramat Gan, which is considered one of the most important theater schools in the country.
