Information

Nasir Yassin (Hebrew: נוסייר יאסין) is a video blogger who has been presenting short videos (1 minute) on his "Nas Daily" Facebook page. He describes himself as a Palestinian-Israeli.

early life
Nasir Yassin was born in Arraba. He is the second of four children. His mother is a teacher and the mother is a psychiatrist. [1][2] His mother tongue is Arabic, and he is also fluent in English and Hebrew. [3] [4]

He received a scholarship to Harvard University at the age of 19,[5] and graduated with a degree in economics in 2014. He also studied computer science.

People Daily
In 2016, Yassin quit his job at Venmo and began traveling around the world. He decided to create a Facebook page with the name Nas Daily, and he continued to provide daily one-minute videos, and they numbered a thousand. His source of income was advertising revenue from his Facebook page, selling T-shirts and giving advice to people interested in the multimedia field. After meeting with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in early 2018, I upgraded "Nas Daily" to a Show. In September 2018, he had more than 8 million followers on Facebook. The number rose to more than 10 million by November of the same year.

Yassin mentioned that his one-minute videos are because viewers are busy and because he shares on Facebook instead of YouTube, although he can make more money there, and said the reason is "because my friends don't go to YouTube". He also mentioned that interactions are more personal on Facebook, where on Facebook users' accounts are linked to real people, unlike YouTube. On average, each video takes about six hours to shoot and three hours to edit. Yassin chooses the topics of the videos based on the suggestions made by his followers on Facebook, whether through in-person meetings or online chat applications. Yassin usually ends the video with the phrase: "This is one minute, see you tomorrow!"

Yassin collaborates on producing his videos with Aline Tamir, an American-Israeli content creator and girlfriend, and Agon Har, a Polish music and video blogger.

After Nas Daily
Yassin finished his journey of 1000 daily videos on January 5, 2019, and ended his last video with the phrase “This is one minute, see you soon.”[6] Since February 1, 2019, he has been producing one video per week.

Yassin currently resides in Singapore and owns a video production company. [7] On November 5, 2019, Yassin released a book that collects memoirs of his daily travels, called “Around the World in 60 Seconds.” [8]

criticism
The Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions Movement (known for its acronym BDS) has warned against dealing with the “Nas Daily” program, calling on its academy participants to withdraw, after Nassir Yassin invited 80 Arab content creators to train at the “Nass Academy.” Which includes Israelis as part of the supervision and training staff, with funding from the Emirates New Media Academy, owned by the ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid.

The movement accused Naseer Yassin of producing "soft, natural content" that serves Israel's efforts to impose itself as a natural entity in the region. It also accused him of deliberately ignoring the rights of the Palestinian people, especially the right of return.
