Muhammad Ahmad Abd al-Jawad al-Zaher (August 31, 1951 - July 17, 2020) was a Jordanian-Palestinian writer and poet. He was born in Aqabat Jaber camp in Jericho. He obtained a diploma from Amman Training College, 1974. He worked as a teacher in the schools of the International Relief Agency for Refugees in Jordan. Member of the Jordanian Writers Association. He published his poems and translations in newspapers, magazines, and Jordanian, wrote scripts and lyrics for many television and radio works. For two consecutive years, he wrote the UNICEF international anthem. He published his poetry in Jordanian and Arab newspapers and magazines and wrote for television and radio. He has many collections of poetry and short stories for children. He died of a severe heart attack at the age of 68.

Muhammad Ahmad Abd al-Jawad al-Zahir was born in Aqabat Jabr camp in Jericho on August 31, 1951 / Shawwal 27, 1370 AH. He obtained a diploma in English language from Amman Training College 1974. He worked as a teacher in UNRWA schools in Jordan. He worked as editor-in-chief of the Jordanian newspaper Al-Dustour, and worked as a reporter for Middle East English magazine.

He wrote UNICEF's lyrical poetic works, the UNICEF Cards anthem, the Arab children's anthem, and many introductions to children's programmes, as well as radio and television programmes, a large number of children's poems sung for radio and television, and theatrical works.
