Salvador Saeed: A Chilean businessman of Palestinian origin from the city of Bethlehem. He is considered one of the wealthiest individuals in Chile and Latin America. His business ventures span across Chile, Argentina, Brazil, the United States, Mexico, Colombia, and Peru. His investments cover a wide range of sectors, including real estate, shopping centers, banking, energy, agriculture, and the food industry.
More recently, he entered the sports investment field by purchasing the Chilean club Palestino — also known as Club Deportivo Palestino — which was founded in the 1920s by members of the Palestinian community in Chile. The club had declined in recent years due to lack of funding and neglect. However, after billionaire Salvador Saeed acquired it — for reasons he described as purely national and emotional — he invested heavily in the team, enabling it to rise again and fiercely compete in the Chilean league.
