Information
Riyad Sadeq is a prominent Emirati businessman of Palestinian origin. He was born in the village of Deir al-Qasi in the Acre region.
He began his professional career in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he worked at the Ministry of Transport and was promoted within a short period to the position of Chief Engineer for the Eastern Region. In late 1967, he joined Al Mulla Contracting Company as Project Manager for the Sharjah–Ras Al Khaimah Road project. In 1968, he was promoted to Technical Director of the company.
In early 1970, he co-founded Al Habtoor Group with Mr. Khalaf Al Habtoor. The company currently employs more than 35,000 people and operates in several Gulf countries and other nations in the Middle East region, generating a net production value exceeding USD 3 billion.
