Nasr believes that the Palestinian cause is going through a difficult historical phase, and there are serious attempts to liquidate it. This necessitates concerted efforts to restore it to its central position in the Arab and Islamic worlds and place it at the forefront of global attention. He believes that the conflict with Israel is long-term, and therefore, efforts must be made to strengthen the resilience of the Palestinians. He believes that the Oslo Accords came about under specific international and regional circumstances, and despite some limited achievements, they suffered from serious flaws that Israel exploited to deepen its control over the occupied Palestinian territories and to renege on and ignore the agreement whenever it suited it. He believes that resistance in all its forms is a legitimate right of peoples under occupation according to international laws and UN charters. He believes that the division is a dark chapter in the history of the Palestinian struggle and is the most serious threat to the Palestinian cause because it weakens it both internally and externally. It must be ended, and a political partnership must be established through a comprehensive national dialogue in which everyone participates as part of rebuilding the Palestinian house on sound and democratic foundations.
