AMMAN – Talal
Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute (TAG-Confucius), in cooperation with the
Chinese Language Education Foundation and Shenyang Normal University (SYNU),
organized the "Bridge to China – 2026 Academics
Delegation" program from July 1–9, 2026. The 2026
delegation comprised ten principals and representatives from Jordanian schools,
universities, and educational institutions.
The program aims to enrich participants'
knowledge of the Chinese language and culture while providing them with the
opportunity to benefit from China's educational experience through workshops,
training sessions, and field visits. It also seeks to familiarize participants
with Chinese civilization and showcase the country's remarkable technological
advancements in education and modern teaching methodologies.
The Jordanian delegation was welcomed by Dr. Wang
Xin, Director of the Office of International Exchange and
Cooperation at Shenyang Normal University, in the presence of Ms. Hu
Bo, Vice Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Yang Songfang, Chinese
Director of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Confucius Institute, and several university
representatives.
Dr. Wang expressed her pride in the
longstanding partnership between Shenyang Normal University and TAG-Confucius
Institute, commending the efforts of H.E. Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh,
Chairman of TAG-Confucius Institute, in strengthening bilateral relations and
expanding cooperation between the two sides. She also noted that many
TAG-Confucius students have been awarded scholarships to pursue their studies
at Shenyang Normal University.
For his part, Mr. Mamoun Abu Al Sebaa,
Executive Director of TAG-Confucius Institute and Head of the Jordanian
Delegation, expressed his sincere appreciation to the University for its Warm
Hospitality and generous reception.
He affirmed his pride in the strategic
partnership between Shenyang Normal University and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global,
which dates back to 2008, emphasizing that it remains the only partnership of
its kind worldwide between the Chinese government and the private business
sector.
Mr. Abu Al Sebaa further stressed H.E. Dr.
Talal Abu-Ghazaleh's commitment to strengthening cooperation between the two
sides through new partnerships across various fields in support of the Belt and
Road Initiative, which continues to serve as the cornerstone of
their enduring collaboration.
During the program, the delegation attended a
series of lectures at Shenyang Normal University covering China's national
conditions, basic education system, traditional Chinese medicine, and the Chinese
tea ceremony.
The delegation also visited several schools in Shenyang,
the capital of Liaoning Province, to gain firsthand insight into China's
educational practices. In addition, the program included visits to some of
China's most iconic cultural and historical landmarks, including the
Forbidden City in Beijing, the Great Wall of China, and
several other historical sites in the Chinese capital.
