The Sheikh was born in Nablus and received his early education there. After completing his studies at Al-Azhar, he returned to Nablus to work as a preacher in the Jenin region. In 1937, he moved to the Sharia courts, holding several judicial positions in Beisan, Tulkarm, and Beersheba. He became an inspector of the Sharia courts and a member of the Sharia Court of Appeals. He was known for his quick wit and poetic talent, composing poems of praise, description, and elegy. He participated in poetic debates with scholars and literary figures, including Sheikh Abdullah Ghosheh, Sheikh Muhammad al-Bastami, and Abdul Qader al-Saleh. He also wrote literary articles for several newspapers, including the weekly magazine Al-Risalah, Al-Wa'i al-Islami, and Al-Jami'ah al-Islamiyyah.
