Ihab Hisham Hefzi Alsurakji is a Mechanical Engineer working at An-Najah National University as the Coordinator of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering Department since August 2022. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Mineral, Saudi Arabia and a MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the same university. He has worked as an Assistant Professor and lecturer at the Mechanical Engineering Department at An-Najah National University and KFUPM, respectively.

He has worked on various research projects related to energy savings and sustainable practices namely; wastewater treatment, solid waste management, multiphase flow systems, particle image velocimetry, optimum insulation thickness, and micro-grooved heat pipe enhancement. He has received various certifications, including a certificate from Elsevier Journal as a reviewer, and awards including full doctoral and master scholarship from KFUPM. He has published articles in several journals including The Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Science and Pollution Research.
