Omar Fares: A Polish petroleum engineer and activist of Palestinian origin from the village of Tuba al-Zangariya in the Safed district. He was born in Syria and worked as an engineer in the Gulf, then moved to Poland. He is considered one of the most prominent Palestinian trade union and political figures in Poland, head of the Polish-Palestinian Friendship Committee and one of the founding members of the Palestinian Social and Cultural Committee, which played a major role in solidarity activities with Gaza during the aggression.
