Abdullah Al-Asaad (Abu Shaddad; born in 1913 in Atil, Tulkarm - assassinated in 1951 in Tulkarm) was a Palestinian military commander, and one of the most prominent leaders of the Great Palestinian Revolt in 1936.

his upbringing
Abdullah Al-Asaad was born in the town of Atil in the Tulkarm district in 1913. At the beginning of his life, he worked as a vegetable seller in the markets of the city of Tulkarm.

his military career
The British authorities arrested him for fifteen years as a result of his offensive activity against the British army, especially the bombing of roads in front of the movement of vehicles of British forces. He was able to escape from prison after fifteen years, during the process of being transported by train from Tulkarm prison to Acre prison, when he jumped to an area near Hadera in Tulkarm district.

Al-Asaad continued his military activities until the end of the Palestinian revolution, when he left for Syria, then later returned to Palestine in 1945, and continued his military work, which culminated in the battles of the Nakba in 1948.

Abdullah Al-Asaad died in the city of Tulkarm in April 1951, while he was sitting in the city's famous "Karmoul Café".
