An institute of studies in Serbia granted an honorary doctorate in the field of philosophy of educational sciences to the Palestinian professor Dr. Alaa Adnan Afana.

Afaneh received an honorary doctorate in recognition of his ten years of sincere service in contributing to the advancement of the educational and scientific process in the world, and his various contributions in the fields of education and teaching with about 20 research papers.

Thus, Afaneh is the first Palestinian figure to receive this appreciation.
