Adli Rifaat Saleh Yaish (born June 30, 1952 in Nablus) is the former mayor of Nablus . 

His life

Born in Nablus, he was the youngest of eight children. He grew up in the city before moving to the United Kingdom and completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Liverpool , graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with Honors.
He then returned to his city and worked with his family in the auto and parts trade, and joined community and national institutions in his city.

elections

Yaish ran for the municipal elections of 2005, the first held in the city in nearly 30 years. He and his list won an overwhelming majority, becoming mayor of Nablus until 2012. He then refused to run for a new term due to the tense political situation in the West Bank .
In 2017, Yaish decided to run again for the municipal elections, winning two-thirds of the municipal council seats and becoming mayor of Nablus for a second time, a position he held until 2019.
