Ahmed Abdel Fattah Ahmed Nasr (born September 27, 1954 in Khan Yunis ) is a Palestinian politician and a member of the Fatah movement and the first Palestinian Legislative Council . Between 2014 and 2023, he served as Governor of Rafah Governorate with the rank of minister.
His life
He joined the Fatah movement in 1969. He holds a higher diploma in political science from Cairo University . He was arrested by the Israeli occupation army for the first time in 1970, and the second time in 1975, when he was sentenced to 25 years in prison. However, he was released in the 1985 exchange deal and deported to Jordan .
He became a member of the Supreme Movement Committee of the Fatah movement in the Gaza Strip , and was elected to the Palestinian Legislative Council after the 1996 Palestinian general elections , in which he received 12,054 votes in the Khan Yunis Governorate district , representing the Fatah movement . In 2002, he was elected Secretary of the Legislative Council .
On July 2, 2014, he was appointed governor of Rafah Governorate with the rank of minister. On August 10, 2023, President Mahmoud Abbas referred him for retirement.

On August 17, 2023, President Mahmoud Abbas awarded him the Star of Merit of the State of Palestine Order , which he handed over to them during his meeting to honor the retired governors on August 20, 2023.
