Mamoun Abu Shahla (1942 -), a professor of accounting, held the position of Minister of Labor in the seventeenth Palestinian government.

His upbringing and educational attainment
Mamoun Abu Shahla was born in 1942 in the city of Acre, to a father from Gaza City and a mother from Acre. He received his school education in Gaza, then received his university education at Cairo University, from which he obtained a BA in Accounting in 1964, and later obtained the degree of “Qualified Chartered Accountant” from City University of London in Britain in 1996.
